     Educators for Connecting Research to the K-16 Classroom (ECRC) seeks to serve as a catalyst to create cost-effective, practical, and collaborative means for educators to team with experts in their field. The goal is to bring unique and highly motivating actions for educators to use in both traditional and non-traditional education settings. The organization's Management Team will implement services. Four types of services have grown out of that purpose:
  1. Brokering connections between elementary, middle and high school teachers who have specific subject interests and university researchers engaged in that area;
  2. Translating aspects of professional actions or research expertise into learning applications suitable for educators to use in their settings;
  3. Training teachers and administrators to use and/or provide the infrastructure to support the learning applications developed by the collaborative teams; and
  4. Supporting educators directly who are researching student achievement and school-based best practices.
Key features of the ECRC programs include: working for the development of Motivator Maps for Educators as a resource, providing support for onsite implementation and evaluation, offering a World Portal for publication, and supporting a forum for continuous improvement. Each individual Motivator Map directly ties an expert's current and past experience with a teacher's professional current and past experience. In addition, each Motivator Map is backed by National Standards, photo galleries, movies, and tools to make the experts' knowledge an attainable resource for implementation in their education setting.
