What is this all about?

ECRC is an organization working to bring both motivation and real world highly active education to today's youth. We rely on experts in their field and our professional colleagues to help fulfill this mission by producing Motivator Maps for Educators.

How much will this cost me?

ECRC works with any expert or education colleague in a collaborative manner. Each relationship is unique and has the goal of exciting learning for young people at its core. The relationship is meant to benefit ECRC's mission and the collaborative goals that are jointly decided. Money is not required to begin this collaboration and examine how a Motivator Map or Action Pack can be created and published. If money enters the discussion, it is brought to the discussion to benefit all who are involved in the collaboration. Money is a level of communication that occurs as relationships build.

What am I expected to do?

Whether you are an expert or teaching colleague, the ECRC management team works with you to turn your passion and knowledge into doable and motivating actions. Each initiative is unique to the demanding schedule of the professional collaborating with ECRC. An agreed upon timeline for product development, testing and publication is used as a guideline. Each effort is designed to be sensitive to realistic goals and objectives. Communication over determined time frame is the key to success.

Where do I start?

Contact our director, Bob Keddell, explaining your interest in ECRC and how you may like to go beyond Level I membership, and become a Level II supporter. We will get back to you promptly to continue the professional conversation.

What are examples of product development?

In its first year of operation, ECRC's management team have begun Motivator Map work with a number of individuals that have gone from Level II Supporter (individual) to Level III Sponsor (organization). What is important to know is that each successful effort began with a single individual expressing their interest to interact with the philosophy and mission of ECRC. Here are three examples of experts and a collaboration that is bringing exciting learning to students:
  1. Chris Warner, President of Earth Treks Climbing Centers, Inc.
Chris is a world-class mountaineer who began work with ECRC to bring his program called "Shared Summits" to the education community. ECRC has used the knowledge gained in interacting with Earth Treks to design a number of exciting Motivator Maps for Educators considering the science and reality of mountaineering and trekking. Shared Summits is a growing set of Motivator Maps and Action Packs that have inspired an entire summer school and after school enrichment theme entitled "Exploring Extremes." For the participants there have been outstanding indoor and outdoor experiences, and a chance to follow world-class mountaineers online. For the teachers, grants have totaled over $20,000 with some of the money actually being returned to Earth Treks for discounted services at their indoor gyms.
  2. Scott Bartkowski, President of Artificial Reefs, Inc.
Scott is an engineer and expert in the building of artificial reefs. His high-interest in education, giant concrete towers and conservation philosophy is providing the impetus for the creation of a magnificent theme handbook to be called "Aqua Havens for Education." This incredible idea has resulted in summer camps, family programs, over $100,000 in grants for educators, participant scholarships and a growing list of supporters who want to bring the Motivator Maps and Action Packs behind this concept to their education settings. Scott's organization has led the way to successful new contacts with such dynamic organizations as the National Aquarium in Baltimore, the Smithsonian Institution and the Landry's Restaurant Corporation. Scott's generosity and vision coupled with ECRC's drive has led to this success.
  3. Heather Chirtea, President of Tool Factory Inc.
Heather's company has joined ECRC in elevating Motivator Maps to a new level. Convinced of the management team's potential, Heather is helping the team in building the "World Portal." This exciting concept facilitates collaboration between ECRC, educators, and experts in their field literally around the world. The upload engine will allow any collaborative team a chance to send in its proposed Motivator Map for editing, testing and publication. Heather truly is bringing ECRC and its potential to a new level. Her software products are also being integrated into potential actions within new Motivator Maps. Also, under development, is an entire Theme Handbook to be called "Triple T Productions."
These are but three examples of what began as a small contact, but is now steadily working its way through Level III Sponsorship that is benefiting youth program participants, the educators involved, the company itself and the growth of ECRC as contributor to education. New collaborations have us beginning work with a shipwreck museum helping us build a theme handbook to be called "Sailing Through History" and a new Action Pack exploring extremophiles. Got an idea?
