Emma;;

Well today is a sad day…it’s the last day of camp…= ( I’m sure were all mourning over the fact that we didn’t get to say good-bye to the fishy’s but I’m focused on telling you about what we have done so far!

Well we presented our Amelia project to the little kids and if I might say myself: they luved it!!! They were screaming and stuff and Mr.K said that when you give little kids fun stuff and they scream then it means they’re having fun! YAY! We made the little kids have FUN!

Another part to this AWESOME day is that Michelle drew us a pic. of a wolf! ((THANK YOU!!!!!!<3))

Anyway, we had just finished making our weird tadpole video. It was funny! So yea all thats left to do is check on the birds finish this blog (lolz) and feed the cute little

((this is sarah typing with))

Sarah;;

Hi again! It’s Sarah (obvioiusly) and I just came back from making a silly “micro-scope” movie. It was pretty shweet. Yet boring at the same time… and funny…

x-x

Anywho, we did the Amelia Earhart activity for the children, they LOVED it! Which is a huge relief considering that I was worried that it would be like… BORING!!

I don’t know what to do now. It’s almost lunch, then I guess we can watch the birds. I like watching the red-winged-black-birds. It’s peaceful…

-sigh-

I guess I should’ve taken pictures, but I was too busy. xD I’m going to miss this camp a whole lot, but that’s a different post. It’s not over yet!

Amy;;

Today we have not yet been able to do as much as we did yesterday. Since it has only been an hour (its 10am), we have put water and tank plants and rocks into the 30 gallon tank. Catfish and other endangered species are going into this tank….I cannot concentrate! So much to do and so little time to do it.

Just so u know its been a while since ive been this busy!!!!!!!!

Well, thats all for now!!!

Emma;

So today is a busy day, even busier then yesterday. 2day we have too finish our tank, finish working on Amelia (cuz we present 2morro ) and watch the birds.

The bird feeder is doing a lot of good! Yesterday after we left (cuz we left early) Mr. K saw a hawk swoop down to try and catch some little birdys but he didn’t succeed. So I wouldn’t be suprised if he tried again. Anyway that means that the word is getting around and thats good! For us and them! ; )

We are almost finished the tank. But Mr.K told us to go and do our blog so we could get going on Amelia. Anyway all thats left to do is the acclimating ((where you put the fish in a bucket and add water slowly from the tank so they can get used to the water without going into SHOCK TRAMA! lolz. That would not be good!

Were having a bit of trouble doing the Amelia Airheart thing considering that the little kids are using the room we plan on using…so now were stuck. We practiced with the lies and pretending to be little kids so we would get used to the whole drama and not understanding thing. I think that after lunch if there not using the room we should practice using that room. So yea…I’m a little worried about 2morro. -scared-

Anywho were going outside to examine the birds so I’ll talk to you l8er… buhbi

Anywho now we need to go do Amelia so I guess I’ll c ya l8er!! c ya! buhbi!

Ok so we hd lunch and did Amelia. We decided not to do the Truths and Lies because the kids don’t knwo enough about her to tell who’s who. We tested the planes and had our plane constructor ((Dylan! Ty)) come in and make more plane cuz we destroyed half of them…Thanks to Amy…lolz

So now were going to watch a movie and mr.K brought in Golden Puffs and Cheerios for us to eat. YAY!!! THANK YOU MR. K!!! So now were gonna watch the movie…c ya!!!

Sarah;;

Hi there. It’s day THREE. This camp’s gone by fast. Anywho, today (it’s only 10:00) we’ve already filled up the 30 gallon tank. We have yet to work on the Activity, we’re doing that after this. I’ll add some pictures latah.

Yesterday, I got to set up a tank for da hermit crabs! YAY! They are sooo cool and cute! (I would say cuddly, but that wouldn’t make sense). I named them (although I shouldn’t have. I couldn’t help myself!!);;

The largest and one with the red shell;; Scarlet

The one that wouldn’t move at all in the begining;; Silent

The one that now has a den;; Denny

That’s all I’ve named so-far. There’s three more, but, they all ran away too fast.

Anywho, pictures coming up! ((And videos!))

Oh well. I kind of deleted all the pictures from the camera when uploading them onto the

SUPER COMPUTER

(Yes, it’s so important it needs it’s own line. ^.^) so I have to wait my turn…

-grumble grumble-

And in case you haven’t noticed, I’m not the most patient person in the world…

I’m now using da

SUPER COMPUTER

so I’m going to add da videos and pictures!!

Hi again! It’s JULY! HURRAY! July first, to be exact. Amy’s trying (and failing) to see through the scope. It’s hard! I tried too, I could only see this pole thing…

x-x

Anywho, today’s the second day of Eco Youth Leader. There’s a graphic artist here, working on pictures to my left. She’s REALLY good! Only if I could draw like her.

Today we have our scheldule;;

BIRD OBSERVATIONS;;

—-coming soon—-

…if we can find Mr. K…

x-x

We found Mr. K!! Yay! (Heh, it rhymes). ALOT of birds came. Like, ALOT. Maybe, SEVENTY MILLION???!!!! Okay, maybe not that many, but we got alot.

All of them were black-birds. One female and three males. They were HUNGRY!

We also spotted three bird-nests, one in the tree, one in a wall, and one some-where at the pond (we didn’t see it, but we’re pretty sure it’s there). The one in the tree has a ribbon in it!

xD

Anywho, I better let my friends type a blog too!

Bii!

Emma;

Hello again! 2day will be an exciting day! We watched a bit of Darwin’s Nightmare and I must say…I’M DISGUSTED! That movie was sooo nasty! Anyway, today we get to create our own schedule and I was thinking that today we would examine the bird feeders, fill them up and see if any birds have come. We also want to discuss getting a bird house maybe on the tree or below it. But I want to make sure that we have time to do our fish tank because it will be of work with moving the fish, cleaning it out, setting it up and yade yade ya. BUT I also want to work on Amelia Airheart project. So toodeloo! I got alot of work to do! (( lolz. That ryhmed. DO and …LOO. C it? ))

We just came back from ‘bird obsevreing’ (sp?) and we got a lot of birds! Like tons and tons of birds. Probably like 2 tons of birds! ((You know like the weight? xD )) Ok, so they were:

  • 1 female Red-winged Blackbird
  • 3 male Red-winged Blackbird

We also spotted a nest. Actually to be exact: 3. One near the pond, (( We didn’t actually see it but were asumming the fact because like an entire family fled to the weeds near the pond when a group of Cool‘fish peple’ came outside. =/ )) one in a tree, (( We took pictures of it. P.S- it had sparkly ribbons in it! xD )) and one inside a hole in the brick wall in the building.

It’s a lot to ’spot’ I guess…but it was fun! After lunch we’re going to do our fish tank and ADVENTURE AMELIA!!! yay.

kk so buhbi! c ya l8er!

Bird NEst WithBling Birdish Feeder

6.30.08

Today we had set up the bird feeders outside near the rain garden. It took a while to put them together with the screws, the hammers, and the drills. (( Which we never did find…=/ )) But, eventually we got it all outside and were able to get the feed into the feeder. We also learned how to make a blog. Thanks to Bryan. = ) Anywho…this is our blog for the group called: Bird. Its a simple and easy name. Bird. Spelled: B-I-R-D. Got it? We focus on…well birds. If that isn’t obvious.

We have four members in our group.

I want to put pictures up but they won’t work unfortuantly. It was a pic. of us standing by the feeder we had put up but it failed…just like all the kool graphics and stuff I had put on here. I don’t like this blog…its annoying. But you wouldn’t know how annoying it is because your just reading it…not like typing it and like trying to make it kool looking. Trust me.

Its ANNOYING.

Anyway…I think Thats all I have to say. So…yea…

Ta•Ta•For•Now!!!

After Lunch;

After lunch we worked on our Adventure Amelia project for the little kids. We researched a bit about her and this is what we found:

  • She was the first women to ever fly a plane
  • She flew a plane form Hawii to California
  • And she flew a plane from California to Mexico
  • She also tried to fly a plane around the world but dissapered near Howland Islands

Its alot isn’t it? -sarcasm-

I think we will need to find more out about it but we still have 2morro! Anyway the object of the game is to fly the plane to places where she has flown. Some of them are just random places like Japan and Africa. The only problem is, that they might not know where some of those places are. O well…there little kids….lolz

So anywho we give them challenges to fly the plane from the white line. You get points depending on how close you get…or something like that. Anyway it was really fun…!

So now were off to the rock climbing wall for our own activity. Yay! C ya! Buhbi!

6.30.08

‘Ello. This is me speaking, but I guess you can’t really call it speaking since you can’t hear my voice… just call it “typing”… I guess.

Anywho, we just finished putting up the bird-feeders, we have two. Both are near the rain-garden here at Lime Kilm Middle School in Maryland. It was pretty easy to get them in the ground, but you can say something far different about constructing them. You see, the bird feeders that we bought were two different things. One was ment to go on the window, with suction cups on the back. There were two of those. The other type was “pole feeders”.

We simply put the “window feeders” ontop of the “pole feeders”. Sounds easy, right? Then we had to screw the “window feeders” onto the poles! And trust me, it wasn’t easy.

All in all, we had a great time, and it’s not even lunch yet!! I wonder what we’re going to do after lunch…

I’m going to try to add pictures onto this, showing you what we did.

——-

….

Pictures didn’t work… like… it failed completely. So I don’t know what I’m going to do…

-ish confused-

Toodle-loo!

Hey, what do you know?! It DID work! SHWEET!

:D
