Using Clove oil
This week we learned how to use Clove oil to knock fish out so we can weigh and measure them.
First we caught the fish.
Next we put them in a bucket of water with clove oil in it.
After they are knocked out we take them out to weigh and measure them.
Last we put the fish in a tank to recover.

Shark tagging
Today the campers did a activity called shark tagging that showed them how scientists tagged and studied sharks. To tag a shark the campers had to run up and scoop the shark out of the water. For a big shark they had to throw a tracking device on them. They took the baby shark out of the water and weighed and measured them . They then put a tracking device on them and released them .![]()
