Moving The Bass

Moving the bass was a long and tiring process. To transfer them i had to get them a feeding tank, move the goldfish out of the new tank and then move the bass.

Feeding Tank

For the feeding tank I needed a ten gallon tank. All of these tanks were taken up so I had to catch two convict cichlids and transfer them to a safe tank . Then I drained the rest of the tank and put it on a desk next to where the bass tank would be. In the end I was thoroughly soaked and I still had a lot to do.

Catching The Goldfish

The next thing I had to do was to catch the goldfish in the tank that the bass were going to be moved. We couldn’t leave them in there because the bass would eat them. Catching the goldfish was practically impossible because there were only two of them in 275 gallon tank. For almost a half-hour I chased the fish through plants and rocks with no result. Eventually I realized that it would be easier with a bigger net. When I used both of the nets I quickly caught both of them. I moved them to a tank holding another goldfish.

Moving The Bass

Finally, it was time to transfer the bass to their home. Bass do not like to be caught!! When you catch them with the net and try to bring them out of the water they splash around and throw water into your face. However, I caught them much faster then the goldfish. When I placed them in the new tank they all cowered in one corner. Unfortunately it turned out i had circuited the filter and feed tank wrong so i had to recircuit the whole thing. When I finished I was exhausted and soaking.
