Build A Bay

ECRC is very excited to be developing and offering in cooperation with the National Aquarium in Baltimore an Action Pack that brings a live ecosystem for release back into the environment. Each Motivator Map helps build a set of knowledge essential for knowing how humans impact the environment and how humans are giving back to the environment for the welfare of the environment. The National Aquarium in Baltimore's model salt marsh can be built in any location, is simple to maintain and offers learning right down to the boots the participants wear to mix the salt into the people-made marsh.

Build a Bay includes the Motivator Maps "Essential Elements," "Bio-Bonding," "Invasive Species," "Great Grids of Understanding" and "Raise to Release." When the individual Motivator Maps are combined with an estuary aquarium and an outdoor salt marsh, the motivation of it all gives any participant full impact. While the Motivator Maps can be done without the benefit of an aquarium or your very own marsh, wet hands and engaging work promote unforgettable learning and understanding. Are you in charge of a scout group, or teach in an afternoon school program with small piece of flat piece of land and a parent with an aquarium in the basement that is collecting dust? If that is the case, not only learn about think about the environment, but Build a Bay to take back to the environment. This is Conservation Education at its finest.
