Rainforest Researchers

     ECRC is proud to focus on the research being conducted at the Smithsonian Tropical Research Institute of Panama and in jungle environments throughout the world. The Smithsonian set of researchers helps lead the world in tropical forest research through studies in behavioral ecology, marine ecology, human ecology and plant ecology. ECRC's Action Pack entitled "Rainforest Researchers," places students and teachers in simulations that allow participants to learn by examining the scientists' methods while using creative ECRC materials. Bats, fiddler crabs, butterflies, fern plants and caves as ancient homes provide the catalyst for this exciting and real world Action Pack. This particular Action Pack is often used as the basis for developing an enrichment program and rates as one of our most popular set of proven materials.
